Our objective is to understand the role of IL-6 cytokine in the brain, studying IL-6-secrating cells and their receptors. We explore the roles of IL-6 in astrocytes, neurones and microglia using mice models; both in physiologic normal conditions (analysing their behaviour, body weight and growth control) and during neuroinflammatory processes, particularly in Multiple Esclorosis models (Autoimmune Experimental Encephalitis) and Alzheimer Disease.
